Boats Ashore Filling Fast
November 30, 2018We Need Your Help
December 2, 2018It’s ready! Planning your visit to the MyState Bank Australian Wooden Boat Festival? Want to know what’s on and when? Need a map of the festival site or a list of the Tall Ships offering cruises?. We’ve got you covered. It’s all here in the 32-page Festival Preview Program. Download it here: AWBF_Program Update 5 Feb
The cover is the lovely artwork for the 2019 festival poster, created by designer Charlotte Wild. The stunning layout is by our veteran graphic designer Justin Dance (a Tassie boy now transplanted to Melbourne), who has done scores of publications for us, going back to the 2013 festival. The photography is largely by our home team of volunteer photographers, many connected with the Hobart Photographic Society, and a handful of professionals like Rob Oates, Doug Thost and Bruce Smart.
We are grateful for contributions from the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building in Port Hadlock, Washington and other participants in the featured nation program, which welcomes the USA as our special interest this year.
A word of caution: This is a PREVIEW program, written during November 2018, almost three months before the event. Things change. Boats can be added or withdrawn, exhibitors join in or cancel, and the location of various events may change for a dozen different reasons. We’ve made every effort to get these details as accurate as they can be, but if you are making travel or accommodation arrangements based on this program, it pays to check before booking. Particularly if the events are run by a third party (cruises on Tall Ships, for example), it’s important that you verify times/dates/prices directly with the operator. If in doubt, give us a ring here at the AWBF office on (03) 6223 3375.
