Boat Builders film series; Matt & Iefke onboard Tarkine, A Boat By The River
April 8, 2022Boat Registrations Open for 2023
April 26, 2022While we are on the topic of boats, guess what? Planning for the 2023 Festival is full steam ahead.
BOAT REGISTRATIONS OPENING SOON – that’s right, at the end of April we will be opening registrations for Boats Afloat and Boats Ashore. Now there isn’t any rush, but it does help to get in early, as Roscoe will have to start placing vessels in their berths (which we all know are limited).
We are excited to say we’ve already had plenty of interest from interstate, as for most people it has been nearly 4 years since they sailed down here to Tassie, and as always locals are bursting at the seams to show off their pride and joy in Sullivan’s Cove.
We would like to remind you that this is a popular event, and we get hundreds of registrations. We simply cannot fit all of the boats, but we try our very best. No wooden vessel is ever ‘rejected’ or ‘unsuccessful’, you are offered a berth or placed on a waitlist, as we do have withdrawals in the lead up to the event.
It also helps if you give us as much up to date information as possible in your registration, as we only know what you tell us!
Keep an eye out here for all the news first. We hope you are excited as us to celebrate in 2023!
Save the date! 10th – 13th February 2023.
Why do we do what we do? We think Jeremy from Cygnet Wooden Boats sums it up pretty well, watch our latest Boat Builder film to find out.
