Australian Wooden Boat Festival: 10th - 13th February 2023
This dock is the beating heart of the Festival. During the Festival it is lined with a multitude of beautiful wooden boats and in the middle is a temporary floating marina where the public are welcome to borrow a rowing dinghy or help their children go for a paddle in their own mini boat.
The dock area is always busy with activities like model boat sailing, Dragon boat events, public rowing, dinghy sailing and safety demonstrations. Everyone is welcome to try the historic art of parbuckling on the dockside too!
The My First Boat crew will launch their vessels for the first time and the grand finale of the entire Festival is the famous Clennett’s Mitre 10 Quick and Dirty Boat Building Challenge race, where thousands of spectators cheer on the little sailors competing against each other in their freshly built vessels.
