Build a Half Model with Jay Lawry

Step inside Wilson's Boat Yard, one of the only continuously operated boatyards in Australia, on the banks of Gardners Bay. Join true gentleman of the wooden boat trade, Jay Lawry and spend the day building a half model. Learn about the traditional timbers prefered for boat building and hear stories from Jay's 40 years in the industry.

1Is the venue accessible?
No wheelchair access, uneven ground and stairs.
2What equipment do I need?
All equipment and materials will be provided.
3What do I wear?
This is a live work site; long pants and closed shoes are mandatory. Small bags only. Dress for changing Tassie weather - layers work best!
4Where can I park?
Parking will be available opposite the boatyard. You will be directed on arrival, if required.
5What about food and drink?
BYO Food and drink.
6Are there toilets on site?
There will be a portaloo on site.
