Make Rope & Create Keyrings with Barbara Frankel

Spend your morning learning the art of nautical rope making with Barbara Frankel, a well known artist in the industry, who has recently completed the bell in the new Antarctic vessel, Nuyina. Spend your afternoon using your newly created rope to build yourself a nautical keyring with traditional nautical knot tying techniques.
Barbara has been a Glaciologist, Senior Environmental Officer and Geotechnical Manager for the Australian Antarctic Division, and has spent her fair share of time on the water over eight voyages south on the RSV Aurora Australis. You might even hear some stories about her expeditions.
This workshop will be completed at the Living Boat Trust building at Franklin.
