Dealing with Marine Pollution
December 10, 2015Slipyards in Tasmania can save you!
December 10, 2015At the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival, Inc, members voted for a new appointment to the AWBF board, filling the vacancy left by long-serving director Nigel Reeves. The new member is Stephen Conway. Stephen is a wooden boat enthusiast and promotes preservation of the technical skills involved in restoration. He is currently CEO of TasTafe, the largest vocational education provider in the state. He has been involved with the Wooden Boat Festival in Goolwa, South Australia for many years and is the proud owner of more than one wooden boat, including (we hear) a paddle-driven veteran. Chairman Steve Knight welcomed Stephen to the board and said that his long experience in senior management, wooden boats and festivals would prove an invaluable resource. Steve saluted Nigel for his long service and his unique insights into media, government and public relations. Nigel will continue as a member of AWBF and serve on the Sponsorship Committee.
