Tour Wooden Boat Centre

Celebrate Australia's best wooden boat school by coming for a guided tour, on the banks of the Huon River. With that amount of experience and maritime history, you'd be silly to miss out. Traditional handcrafted wooden boats, built out of speciality timbers grace the corners in various stages of completion. Students undertaking week long courses right through to full year long Shipwright courses share their knowledge and insight into a fantastic trade.
Students attend the centre to immerse themselves in living maritime heritage and to learn the art of building a Tasmanian timber dinghy, oars and spars, fine woodwork, kayaks and canoes.
