A record number of marine companies will be displaying in the Maritime Marketplace at AWBF 2017.
Princes Wharf Shed will be full to capacity with 85 display spaces, up from 67 in 2015. “We have a great range of quality marine goods – pretty much everything you could need for your boat”, said Tim Oxley , AWBF Commercial Sales Manager.
Many festival visitors spend time in PW1 talking to marine experts and suppliers about new products for their boat. The popular PW1 theatrette will also return, with commercial exhibitors explaining new products and services. Many of these how-to sessions were standing room only in 2015.
Brierley Marine returns in 2017 and Peter Johnston Ship Chandlery is displaying for the first time. In addition to many local marine exhibitors, we also have exhibitors from Victoria, NSW, Queensland, NZ and even Indonesia.
The number of Tasmanian marine businesses has increased over recent years, with many taking advantage of the opportunity to display their products to a large visiting audience.
Wooden boat specialists, electronics, propellers, marine insurance, boating apparel, paint, diesel engine suppliers and more will be on display in PW1 and elsewhere around the festival.
A Fixture on the Australian Maritime Calendar
The Maritime Marketplace at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival has become an important fixture on the calendar of boat shows and trade exhibitions around Australia. With its emphasis on hand crafting, traditional materials, elegant tools and classic finishes, it appeals particularly to the wooden boat enthusiast, but it also displays an encyclopaedia of new products to an eager boating audience. Tasmanians and visitors alike can see and learn about hundreds of products and tools in one place and do business on the spot with attractive special offers and prices.
