AWBF on ABC’s Teenage Boss: Next Level

The 2025 AWBF became the backdrop for ABC’s family series Teenage Boss: Next Level, with footage from the festival featured in Episode 8 “Abel.”

The series follows teenagers as they take charge of the family budget for four weeks, navigating tough choices about money, priorities, and passions.

In Abel’s story, the stakes couldn’t be higher: should he channel his savings into repairing the family yacht Island Vertue for the upcoming AWBF—his favourite event of the year—or keep his family happy with groceries and everyday essentials? To make matters trickier, he’s also saving for a top-quality sailing jacket that will see him through many Tasmanian winters on the water. With boat repairs mounting and his sisters threatening mutiny, Abel has to decide where his money (and his heart) truly belongs.
