Christmas Message from the Chairman

The next Australian Wooden Boat Festival is just around the corner – from the 10^th to 13^th February 2017 inclusive!

I know that all of us are eagerly looking forward to this wonderful event, an event of which we are justifiably proud; and that many will be working on their boats over the coming weeks to make sure that they are looking their best during the Festival.

However, Christmas is here, and it is time to put away the paint, varnish and brushes; forget about the smell of tarred marlin, whipping twine, and turps. It is time to sit back, enjoy your family and friends, and reflect on the things that are important, and to remember what Christmas is all about. Enjoy the days off, smell the sea breeze, and relax! However, above all, please keep safe.

I would like to extend my very best wishes for Christmas, and the festive season, to each and every one of you. Have a wonderful time, and I look forward to seeing you all at the Festival!
