Headed for Hobart
September 2, 2018Passing 50 and Going Strong
September 2, 2018The Maritime Marketplace for AWBF 2019 is filling up fast and applications will close soon.
The Marketplace is a huge display of marine products and sevices – anchors, engines, paint, propellers and (almost) everything else for your boat. It’s also a great complementary activity for the festival, because of the presence of hundreds of boats and thousands of boat-owners and enthusiasts. Once again the marine business sector is displaying its strong support for the festival. At AWBF 2019, we’ll have a great lineup of quality marine goods, services and information sessions.
As a group, our commercial exhibitors contribute a significant amount to the festival as well as displaying a huge range of boating goods and services.
Many festival visitors head straight for the Big Shed – Princes Wharf Number 1 to see the latest marine products and get advice from suppliers. The information sessions in the PW1 theatrette featuring presentations from product experts are also popular. On its own, the Maritime Marketplace is easily the biggest boating products show in Tasmania. In fact, for several years we haven’t been able to fit everyone PW1, and you’ll now find several groups of Commercial Exhibitors elsewhere around the festival site.
So we are very pleased to welcome old and new exhibitors alike. Stormy LifeJackets (who displayed at the first AWBF in 1994) Brierley Marine, Austral Propellers, ATL Composites and Logix Group have been with us for several festivals and Hydrive Engineering and Stella Systems are joining us for the first time.
Once again there is a mixture of well known international brands, displaying alongside smaller local and interstate operations. We look forward to welcoming all of you to Hobart. Besides supporting the festival, some of our exhibitors have offered their generous assistance for the Sailors with disABILITIES/ Wright of Passage project. Big thanks to Brett Mould of Norglass and Ray Cross of Distinctive Timbers .
If you are a marine supplier and are thinking about exhibiting at AWBF 2019, please apply here as soon as possible.
