Maritime Marketplace, had over 80 stands offering service and products for a myriad of different boating requirements
Boating Industry members have shown strong support for AWBF 2021, with over half the display space in the Maritime Marketplace committed in the first three days.
The next festival will see displays of Tasmanian specialty timber products, including Tassie Thick Veneers from Heritage Furniture, rigging and sail-making specialists 42 South Marine, propellers, diesel engines, paint and general chandlery items.
“We’re pleased to see our long term supporters and some new exhibitors,” said Commercial Manager Tim Oxley. “As usual we will have a wide range of quality products – nearly everything for your boat.”
As well as local companies such as the historic Wilson’s Boatyard, many exhibitors from Victoria, NSW and Queensland will be present. Our cousins from across the ditch are once again represented by Kiwi Richard Wilkinson.
In addition to seeing a wide range of quality marine products, visitors will have the opportunity to talk to suppliers. “Being able to ask how to choose and use boating products is important. Feedback from visitors is that AWBF provides this opportunity more than other boat shows, Tim said. “For example, painting a boat is a specialist area of knowledge. Correct preparation and application of the right products makes a big difference to the maintenance and appearance of your boat. We are fortunate to have experts in this field, such as Brett Mould of Norglass Paints. Brett has been at every Wooden Boat Festival since 1996.
Some exhibitors will give presentations of interest to boaties in the Small Stages program during the festival. These presentations will be advertised on this website, in the festival program and on social media.
