Kumundar Gujo joins Japanese Children’s Day Celebration

Join us on Saturday, May 3rd, for City of Hobart’s Japanese Children’s Day celebration at the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre (YARC) from 10:00am to 3:00pm!

AWBF will be there with the Kumundar Gujo Jungle Gym—crafted using traditional Japanese woodworking techniques—for you to climb aboard!

Other fun activities include:

• Reading a Japanese storybook from our travelling book barge
• Meeting Yai Chan, the adorable bonito fish mascot
• Making cool origami
• Adding your dot to a community koinobori (carp streamer)
• Sampling delicious Japanese food
