Get ready for one of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival's most thrilling events: the Quick & Dirty Boat Building Challenge! Watch as student teams race against the clock to build a boat from scratch right at the festival, then compete in a high-energy race on Monday, February 10th at 2:30 PM. This exhilarating challenge has captivated audiences for years, with Tasmanian students mastering boat-building skills and racing before thousands at the iconic Constitution Dock. With prizes up for grabs and the chance to be part of something truly unforgettable, this is an experience not to be missed!
Teams of 3-4 students aged 10-15 years can join the adventure. No experience is needed—our Q&D Manager will guide your team from start to finish, with inductions and training provided from October 2024 to February 2025. Each team must have a teacher, parent, or mentor as their main point of contact. Ready to make waves?
